Prayer Policy

PRAYER POLICY

FFWC believes in the power of prayer and desires to pray for people's needs as they are presented. However, HIPAA and other laws are obvious, and we cannot release medical information without permission. Information related to relationships and finances can also be construed as an invasion of privacy if an individual doesn't consent to their information being made public.

Prayer Text and Email Chain

If someone requests that the prayer chain be activated, we acknowledge that they have given us permission to share the information they have provided. It is preferred that they write their request and present it in an email or text message. However, if that is not possible, we acknowledge that they are giving permission to the church to write it on their behalf.

We will not divulge last names.  We will only present the prayer request with the available information.

Text vs Email

If a prayer request is urgent and time-sensitive, we will activate the text chain for such purposes.  However, if the request is not urgent or time-sensitive, we will activate the email chain.

Weekly Prayer List

If someone presents a written request, we acknowledge that they allow us to make public the information they have shared unless otherwise noted.

Praying for people who do not attend FFWC.

We cannot divulge their names to the public because we do not have the permission of the people being prayed for. We can only pray for "a friend of" or "the daughter of" without giving great detail to the nature of the request.
